Mindfulness Apps for Living in the Now

Posted by on May 27, 2013

Being Mindful is as Easy as a Tap on your iPhone!

The backbone of mindful awareness is to stop, breathe, and connect with the now.

Mindfulness involves paying attention to present moment experiences with openness, curiosity, and a willingness to be with what is. Opening your awareness to the present generates refreshing energy and joy. This kind of awareness allows you to become aware of what is going on inside you and how your inner world of thoughts and feelings is reacting to the events that are taking place in the world around you.

Mindfulness can be practiced inside or outside of formal meditation. You can practice it for a few moments or a few minutes- practice it while sitting on the beach at sunset, lying on your bed, sitting on a park bench. Anywhere.

Everyone can benefit from mindfulness. Among its many benefits, mindfulness can:

•Strengthen your attention skills
•Develop self-awareness
•Improve your emotional well-being.
•Promote positive effects on brain health
•Help manage anxiety, stress, and depression.
