The Frightening Effects of the Celebrity "Baby Bump" Craze

Talk of celebrity baby bumps are the craze in the media today. Check out this article in the Huffington Post about how women, with and without eating disorders, are negatively affected by "small" baby bumps we see in celebrities today.

Also, we learn through a study discussed in the article on how women who are too concerned about the size of their baby bumps are at risk for poor prenatal attachment to their babies in utero. This poor attachment can continue after the baby is born -- and this puts the baby (and mom) at risk for serious emotional and attachment issues as the child grows.
